 Deer
We have several different
hunting areas covering more than 3000 acres. Our stands consist of mostly
15ft ladder stands, but we also have tripods, ground blinds, and shooting
houses. With over 40 stands preset and the ability to pop up a blind at any
time we can move around to and find the deer movements to match the
conditions.
Rifle, Archery, and Muzzleloader ($2500)
All hunts are 5 days long. You can arrive the day before and leave the day
after. We provide all meals, lodging, transportation to and from
 stands,
and anything else you need. You are responsible for your tag and license.
New for 2008 we will no longer have transferable tags. You must apply by May
31. The only chance you might have if you miss the deadline is to hope for
leftovers after the drawing. Also new for 2008 is our pricing. We are the
same price for all seasons. We believe that we are not in the business of
selling you a deer, we are selling you an experience. Hopefully the
experience will result in a trophy deer. We do not charge trophy fees and
have not had to charge penalty fees. We try to get you to shoot older bucks
and let the little ones walk. We have mostly all repeat clients and they
know the caliber of bucks we have.
Ducks
Iron Gate is located in a major local flyway with a
good to excellent flight of birds in most years. We have deep water to hunt
when the potholes are frozen over as well as the shallow water that mallards
love. $3,000 includes access to 125 acres of water for the
entire season.
Turkey
We have a load of Eastern,
Rio Grande and Hybrid turkeys for you to hunt. Hunting along the river, a small creek, or
chasing them in the strip pits we will keep you busy.
$200 a day, 3 day min. gets
you lodging, evening meals, and several places to kill your birds. Guide can
be arranged for additional fee.
